VERY IMPORTANT/MUST READ INFORMATION AND RULES/FEES FOR THE LAKE THIS SUMMER SEASON:

Additional Team NEWS is below this Letter of Important Information including practice changes.

Dear Seahawks Swim Team Families:
Summer is almost here which means its close to the time the Lakeside Seahawks Swim Team’s
return to Lakeside Swim Club for the long course season. The Lakeside Club Board of Directors
and Management Staff want to welcome you to our club for the 2012 Summer Season.

Lakesideis a private swim club, to be used by its members and their guests. Each summer we
welcome the Seahawk Team to our club for their annual long course summer training season.
Many of the swim team members do not belong to the Lakeside Club; consequently special rules
apply to those swimmers to ensure proper standards for the club are maintained.

All team members need to be aware of the following regulations:

1) ALL SWIMMERS AND PARENTS MUST REPORT IN AT THE FRONT GATE.

2) A photo identification system will be in used for swimmers. To expedite the check in procedure
at the front gate, say your name and scan your membership card. If you are new to the team and
have not received a membership card you will have your photo taken at the front gate and will
be issued a card. If you swam at Lakeside in the past, your membership card is still valid. If a
swimmer has physically changed greatly since their membership photo was taken, a new photo
will be taken upon discretion of the attendant.

3) Non club member parents may come to Lakeside to watch a practice in appropriate "street"
clothing only. Siblings who are not on the team may not accompany their parents. Parent’s must
sign in at the front desk upon arrival and sign out upon your departure. Thank you in advance for
your cooperation to this policy.

4) Non-member swimmers of Lakeside are allowed on the club premises 30 minutes prior to and
30 minutes after there scheduled practices.

Any infraction to the above regulations will result in termination of Lakeside Club
privileges.

If you have a special situation with transportation, childcare, or similar, please put it in writing and
it will be addressed on a case to case basis. Send it to me at the club’s address or email me at
mtgraves@lakesideswim.com

The team will host 2 swim meets at “The Lake” this summer, The OVC on May 31, June 1-2 and
Seahawk Invite, July 5-7. Admission is charged for all non-club members, ages 1 and over. As
a SeaHawk parent, you will be asked to work sessions at each meet. Parents schedule to work
one or more sessions of the meet will not be charged admission for any session of that meet.
Each parent’s name must be listed on the workers form in order to gain free admission. Non-team
member siblings will be charged admittance into the club for swim meets.

LAKESIDECLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS WHICH AFFECT ALL SWIM TEAM
MEMBERS:

1) All swimmers MUST STOP AT THE FRONT GATE AND CHECK IN with the Gate Attendant.

card will check in before you. PLEASE carry your card with you in order to expedite the check in
procedure.

2) Admittance into the club between 9:45 – 10:00 a.m. is prohibited. If your practice is scheduled
around this time, be sure to arrive prior to 9:45 a.m. or you will be asked to wait in line for

in a timely manner, please circle the block to allow other vehicles the opportunity to drop off or
pick up.
c) Do not pull into the CLUB DRIVEWAY. This is a pedestrian & bicycle walkway.
d) It is imperative that all of us follow these traffic procedures, not only as a safety factor, but it will
help to eliminate traffic problems on Trevilian Way.

blocking their driveways. Also, watch where you park, do not park in the center of 2 parking spots,
